Sunday — Brent D. Kennard, 29, of Clay Township, was arraigned on misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a May traffic stop on South Chestnut Street near Race Street.

Police said Kennard was a passenger in the car that was stopped about 11:30 p.m. May 29 for running a red light on West Diamond Street.

He was subsequently searched and found with five stamp bags and one empty bag of suspected heroin.

District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Kennard on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail in the case.

[naviga:h3]Grove City Police[/naviga:h3]

2:58 a.m. Thursday — Triston Lee Galarza, 20, of Slippery Rock was arrested for drugged driving on South Center Street.

Galarza is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving an unregistered vehicle, improper display of a license plate, misuse of a license plate or registration card, and a rear lighting violation.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

2:58 a.m. Thursday — Brenda J. Heck, 53, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash in Pine Township, Mercer County.

In addition to DUI, she is charged with disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.
