GROVE CITY — The United Soccer Coaches have selected the Grove City College women’s soccer coaching staff as its Great Lakes Region Staff of the Year.

Mars graduate Jordyn White was an assistant coach for GCC and also works as the college’s recruiting and event coordinator. She earned four letters as a defender for the Wolverines dfrom 2013-16.

BUTLER TWP — Joel Stutz scored 34 points — including nine treys – as the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team defeated the Grove City College JV, 84-81, in overtime Monday night.

Jace Stutz contributed 13 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, Josh Knochel 13 points and Andrew Yonkers 11 for the Pioneers (2-2).

[naviga:h3]SV grad Kocur named all-region

GROVE CITY — Seneca Valley graduate Claire Kocur, a senior defender on the Grove City College women’s soccer team, has been named first team All-Great Lakes Region.

Kocur had a goal and assist in 19 starts this year, helping the Wolverines post 11 shutouts and a 0.75 goals-against average.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Three Slippery Rock University women’s soccer players have been named All-Great Lakes Region.

Jordyn Minda, a midfielder, made first team. She had seven goals and two assists. Defender Madison Johnson made second team and forward Brooke Testa third team.
