County chiefs earn certificates
All three Butler County commissioners are among 22 county officials from across the state who recently graduated from the Excellence in County Government program.
Commissioners Leslie Osche, Kim Geyer and Kevin Boozel received certificates for their completion of the program, which was offered by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania Academy for Excellence.
The program was offered at the CCAP's fall conference, held for three days last week in Hershey.
Subjects covered in the program include leadership, management and decision-making, county legal issues and current trends in county government.
“CCAP and the Academy are committed to training informed and responsible public officials to give Pennsylvania's counties the leadership needed to deal with the challenges of today's county government,” CCAP spokesman Ken Kroski said in a news release.
The Excellence in County Government program began in 1996 and has seen 150 county officials graduate over the years.
