Ladies’ Bible study is 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dittmer house.
The Sunday church schedule is 9:45 a.m. Sunday school, 11 a.m. worship service followed by a noon luncheon and a 1 p.m. worship service.
A family Thanksgiving service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the youth center.
There will be no Wednesday prayer service, Kidz Klub or youth group this week.
FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN
First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., observes Stewardship Commitment Sunday where members may commit their time, abilities and resources. The worship service will include the blessing of the prayer shawls.
The staff meeting is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN
Thursday is the deadline to submit information into the church office at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., for the December newsletter.
Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. No proof of income is required. Each family may fill one large bag.
The church council will host a “Table Talk” at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the educational room across from Grace’s Closet for people to ask questions about the annual report, the proposed 2019 budget and the year in ministry.
The annual congregational meeting begins at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The BALM youth group will meet Sunday following the worship service.
Members of Grace @ Calvary will lead worship at LIFE Butler County, 231 W Diamond St., with the adult day program participants at 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday. Participants should be at the church by 10:40 a.m.

There will be a Thanksgiving Day worship service at 10 a.m. Nov. 22.

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., has a 10 a.m. Sunday congregational meeting to adopt the budget and slate of elders and deacons. Normal worship hours are still 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, is collecting new, unwrapped gifts for the Lighthouse Christmas Shoppe until Dec. 9. Families in need will be able to “shop” for presents for children up to 16 years old. There is a need for gifts for teenagers.
The Christmas choir cantata practices Sundays after the worship service and at 7 p.m. Wednesdays have begun. Speak with Cindy to participate.
