CRANBERRY TWP — A pair of accidents less than a half-mile apart kept first responders busy Wednesday.

The first accident occurred at 11:15 a.m. at 20810 Route 19 in the township, according to Butler County 911 records. Police at the scene said the male driver struck a pole outside of a business while driving in the northbound lanes.

The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for unknown injuries.

While crews were still repairing the pole at that scene, a second accident occurred just before 12:15 p.m. at 20845 Route 19. The two-vehicle accidents occurred in the southbound lanes, with traffic reduced to one lane as crews worked to clear debris.

No additional information was available at the scene.
