Man gets 6 years in several cases

Lee Rapsinski

A Butler man was sentenced to 6 years in prison Friday for crimes he committed in three cases that included assaulting a police officer with a vehicle and having sex with a 14-year-old.

For the statutory sexual assault conviction, Judge William Shaffer sentenced Lee J. Rapsinski to 14 to 36 months in jail.

Rapsinski, 21, has 363 days of credit for time served.

In another case, he pleaded guilty to interfering with the custody of a child and corruption of minors and was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in jail that will run separately from the first case.

In the last case, where he assaulted an officer, he was sentenced to 1 year of county probation for simple assault.

Rapsinski will also be required to register as a sex offender for 15 years following his release from prison.
