Rear-end crash
BUFFALO TWP — A pair of vehicles traveling north were involved in a rear-end accident at about 12:15 p.m. Thursday on South Pike Road. The driver of a Ford Escape hit the rear of a Chevrolet van twice before losing control, crossing the southbound lane and landing in a ditch, according to Buffalo Township Police. Police said the van was sent into a spin that finished in the middle of both lanes, but luckily there was not additional traffic to cause further incident. Both drivers were uninjured in the accident, and neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be involved, according to police.Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the incident. Firefighters helped direct traffic, which was reduced to one lane for about 30 minutes.
