Pyle returned to state House
Election night made the eighth term of Rep. Jeff Pyle official.
Pyle, a Republican, was running unopposed for re-election to the state House of Representatives, in the state’s 60th District.
As of press time, with 81 of the county’s 89 voting precincts reporting, Pyle won 3,814 votes in Butler County, 13,294 in Armstrong County and 1,471 votes in Indiana County, according to unofficial election results posted online Tuesday night by county election officials.
Pyle has served for 14 years in the state House. He has served as a member of the Appropriations, Environmental Resources and Energy and the Judiciary committees.
Pyle has worked on legislation like the state’s new drone laws, developing the Veterans Trust Fund and the Castle Doctrine.
He could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.
