Old Home Day with the Lancaster Township Historic Records Committee is set for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Middle Lancaster Community Center, Route 19 behind Sally’s Cider Press, near Harmony. This year’s program will be “The Biddle Boys — The Escape, Capture and Death of Butler County’s Most Notorious Outlaws” by storyteller Bill May. The 60-minute slide show is free. The Lancaster Historical Center is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
Tours of Preston Park in Butler Township, including the residence and the grounds, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 24. This two- to three-hour walking tour is available at no cost, but registration is required. In addition to the dates listed above, private group tours may also be arranged for groups of 10 or more. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., hosts the film series “Presenter’s Favorites” with the animated “Princess Mononoke” at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at the museum, 322 N. McKean St. In this 1997 historical fantasy war epic, the story follows a young prince’s involvement in a struggle between the gods of a forest and the humans who consume its resources.
