B’NAI ABRAHAM

The Congregation B’nai Abraham synagogue, 519 N. Main St., will host a Butler interfaith gathering and vigil from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday to mourn the victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. All faiths welcome.

BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have Pastor Millie Martsolf providing music Sunday.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Volunteers for sausage label application will meet 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ Community United Methodist Church 205 North Duffy Road.

Volunteers are needed in the coffee room on Sundays. The sign-up sheet is in the narthex. Holy Communion will be observed Sunday at both services.

Election Day baked goods and volunteers are needed. Baked goods should be delivered by Monday evening. For information, contact Mary Lee Kelly. The church office needs volunteers to take phone messages Nov. 5 through Nov. 9.

Workers are needed for sausage day Nov. 17. There are sign-up sheets, fliers and order forms in the narthex.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., recognizes all souls from Covenant who have departed during the past year at the 11 a.m. All Saints Sunday service. The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated.

Members will receive 2019 pledge cards in the mail this week. Stewardship Emphasis begins Sunday.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., has Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. Communion worship service.

The deacons will meet after the service. The AA group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Weight Watchers meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday, 6 p.m. Nov. 8 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

FIRST BAPTIST

The ladies Bible study of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., meets at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dittmer home.

The Shop @ 216 is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

There will be an 8:30 a.m. Sunday prayer service followed by 9:15 a.m. breakfast, 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes and an 11 a.m. worship service at which Pastor Paul Connor, state representative of the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pa., will speak.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will host a 3 p.m. Sunday organ concert by David Billings in celebration of First English’s 175th anniversary.

Butler Area Lutheran Ministry youth will meet 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., has Ladies’ Night Out beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive.

There is a GLOW planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for committee members and those interested in helping with GLOW kids.

The men of Grace are invited to the BALM Gathering of Men at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., at 8 a.m. Saturday for breakfast, fellowship and conversation.

Sunday is All Saints Sunday and the church invites worshippers to bring pictures of deceased loved ones to the worship service.

GLOW November will meet Sunday following worship in the social hall until 1:30 p.m. GLOW is for children 5-12.

Volunteers from Grace @ Calvary will serve the community dinner at First English Lutheran Church Monday. Volunteers should be at First English at 4 p.m. to help set up and serve dinner that starts at 5 p.m.

Butler Relay for Life meets at 6 p.m. Monday in the social hall.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., celebrates the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper at the Sunday worship service. The chancel choir will sing.

Harvest Home food collection request is boxed and bagged foods such as flour, sugar, macaroni and cheese, cereals, cake or pie mixes, and crackers.

An Election Day bake sale to benefit the youth mission trips will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Baked goods should be brought to the fellowship from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday.

Youths will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday to bake cookies and cupcakes for the sale.

INTERSECTION CHURCH

The Locking Arms men’s ministry of Intersection Church, 120 Walker Ave., meets at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mac’s Route 8 Cafe, 16 Pittsburgh Road, and at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

Christian Business Partners meets from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at the church.

There will be an “Afterglow service at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The public is invited to the church’s 7 p.m. Friday memorial service for the victims of the Tree of Life shooting n Squirrel Hill.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., will offer Communion at the 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The youth group will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The women’s Bible study will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the board room.

GriefShare meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room.

NEW ZION

The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church will be observed during 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service at New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 195 Airport Road, Emlenton.

The service will include a brief video and a time of prayer. The day is sponsored by Voice of the Martyrs.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons and session of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have their annual joint meeting after Sunday worship. The deacons will follow with their regular monthly meeting.

Old Union’s annual congregational meeting is after the Nov. 11 worship service.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill Butler County will have a core group gathering at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at 107 Staley Ave. There will be an opportunity to hear about the mission in Haiti and to pray for the community. A Sunday service with kids’ and student ministry will follow at 10:30 a.m.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., has fall cleanup day starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. Take mops, scrub buckets, and cleaning supplies. For information, see Kathy Eamigh.

The November mission offering goes to the Samaritan Counseling Center of Western Pennsylvania. To help fund the center, use a “First Sunday Mission Offering” envelope from the pew racks or mark “First Sunday Mission” in the memo portion of a check.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., celebrates Holy Communion during the celebration of All Saints Sunday.

The budget committee meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday to establish a preliminary budget for 2019.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, is at 7:45 a.m. Saturday at Kings Restaurant, 400 Buffalo Plaza, Buffalo Township.
