Bartramian Audubon Society meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will feature a program on “Mushrooms and Other Foods from Oak Trees.” The meetings and programs are free. Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host “Climate Conversations: When the Snow Stuck and a Tick was Just the Sound of a Clock” at 2 p.m. Sunday, “Turkey Talk” at 2 p.m. Nov. 18, and “Naturally Grateful” at 7 p.m. Nov. 23. A star party, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, will begin about 5:15 p.m. Nov. 10, weather permitting, at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, near Russellton. This will be the last scheduled public event for 2018 at the observatory. Call 724-224-2510.
