Bartramian Audubon Society meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will feature a program on “Mushrooms and Other Foods from Oak Trees.” The meetings and programs are free. Bartramian Audubon Society is the local chapter of the National Audubon Society serving Butler, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties

Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host “Climate Conversations: When the Snow Stuck and a Tick was Just the Sound of a Clock” at 2 p.m. Sunday, “Turkey Talk” at 2 p.m. Nov. 18, and “Naturally Grateful” at 7 p.m. Nov. 23. REGION

A star party, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, will begin about 5:15 p.m. Nov. 10, weather permitting, at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, near Russellton. This will be the last scheduled public event for 2018 at the observatory. Call 724-224-2510.
