State police are reminding hunters that parking on limited access highways, including Interstate 79 and part of Route 422, is prohibited.

With hunting season under way, police said the Vehicle Code says no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on a limited access highway. The law prohibits parking along highways, on berms or in the grass next to highways. Police said hunters who park on private property must obtain permission from the property owner. Parking along side roads is permitted, police said.
