- More than 20 Western Pennsylvania landscapes are displayed in “Recent Paintings by David P. Ludwick,” the fine arts instructor’s exhibit in the Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery, through Friday.
BC3’s fall student art showcase will follow in November.

- The Martha Gault Art Gallery hosts “Glen Brunken: Master Visual Artist” through Nov. 1. The SRU professor emeritus taught painting, printmaking and drawing for 40 years, from 1969 to 2009.
The gallery at 108 Maltby Ave. is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
- Grammy-nominated vocalists backed by a jazz combo in Martini Pop will perform Nov. 2 as part of the Performing Arts Series.

Westminster’s planetarium will present “Halloween: Celestial Origins” at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday (recommended for age 5 and older) with outdoor skygazing after the 6:30 p.m. screening, weather permitting, and “Ooky Spooky” at 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday (appropriate for all ages) with outdoor skygazing for this show after the 8 p.m. screening, weather permitting.
