Knoch, Mars students have roles in PMT's 'Annie'
Three Butler County teens appear in Pittsburgh Musical Theater’s staging of “Annie” opening Thursday at the Byham Theater.
Brecken Farrell plays the role of Rooster Hannigan, Marnie Butler is Grace Farrell, and Torrance Bajuszik is a Star To Be in the show that runs through Sunday.
Brecken and Torrance are Knoch High School students, and Marnie goes to Mars High School.
The show is double-cast, so not all students appear in every show. Brecken and Torrance are in all the shows. Marnie stars in the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night shows.
Songs from the musical include “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Tomorrow” and “Easy Street.”
“Annie” is a presentation by the students of the Richard E. Rauh Conservatory, backed by the orchestra from CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts school in Pittsburgh), and fully produced by the professional artists of PMT.
Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the theater at 101 Sixth St., Pittsburgh.
Tickets are available at www.pittsburghmusicals.com/tix-annie or call 412-456-6666.
