12:20 p.m. Wednesday — According to police, a vehicle driven by Richard Kemerer, 69, of Pitcairn ran a red light at the intersection of Route 68 and South Eberhart Road. Dacid Simpson, 71, of Butler, who had the right of way, hit Kemerer’s car. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed.

Oct. 14 — Police charged Zane P. Flynn, 19, of Murraysville with drunken driving and DUI by a minor after an incident at 2:26 a.m. at the Sheetz on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock. Police said Flynn was driving erratically in the business’ parking lot, and was pulled over. He failed field sobriety tests and a portable breathalyzer test, which showed his blood alcohol level to be 0.149 percent. He was also cited for purchase of alcoholic beverage by a minor and a traffic violation.

Oct. 13 — Police charged Jackhenry Tulenko, 19, of Pittsburgh, with resisting arrest and cited him for underage drinking after an incident at The Grove apartment complex in Slippery Rock. Police said Tulenko was found intoxicated and was being cited by officers when he allegedly ran away from police. Police said they already had Tulenko’s personal information, and charged him the following Monday.

Friday — Police charged Scott Robert Shearer, 54, of Cabot with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched another man in the face during a domestic dispute at a home on Cornplanter Road in Winfield Township. Police said the victim, Neil Shearer, had one black eye and multiple injuries on the right side of his face.
