- The Martha Gault Art Gallery hosts “Glen Brunken: Master Visual Artist” through Nov. 1. The SRU professor emeritus taught painting, printmaking and drawing for 40 years, from 1969 to 2009.

The gallery at 108 Maltby Ave. is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

- Grammy-nominated vocalists backed by a jazz combo in Martini Pop will perform Nov. 2 as part of the university’s Performing Arts Series.

- More than 20 Western Pennsylvania landscapes are displayed in “Recent Paintings by David P. Ludwick,” the fine arts instructor’s exhibit in the Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery. The show continues through Oct. 26.

BC3’s fall student art showcase will follow in November.

- The Pittsburgh Philharmonic will feature Verdi’s “Force of Destiny Overture,” Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain,” and Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise” for a concert Oct. 28. The Haunted Hertz and Hidden Treasures concert will begin at 2 p.m. in the Succop Theater.

Flutist Zoe Sorrell will be the featured artist at the Westminster College Symphony Orchestra’s fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Orr Auditorium. Admission is free.
