BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

The Seekers class of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., resumes at 9:45. m. Sunday in the Assembly Room.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., has Rally Day Sunday as it resumes Sunday School for children and adults. It will also celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Synod of the Trinity. After the service, the congregation will gather in the upper parking lot for the bonfire and wiener roast.

The AA group will meet 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Weight Watchers will meet at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. Sept. 20 and 8:30 a.m. Sept. 22.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has 9:45 a.m. Sunday school followed by an 11 a.m. Sunday worship service, lunch and a 1 p.m. worship service.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., commences Bible study for adults at 9:15 a.m. Sunday.

There will be a “fresh fruit start” from 9:15 to 9:50 a.m. during Sunday school for children and youths.

Children’s Church takes place following the children’s sermon at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Monday there will be a Meet and Greet hosted by Butler Area Lutheran Ministries, at 6:30 p.m. at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., for Madame Jeanne Christiane, director of the Lutheran Bible School in Ambovombe, Madagascar.

The staff will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The finance committee meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., has a planning meeting at 6:30 today for upcoming GLOW events.

The fellowship and service committee meets at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ladies’ Lounge.

Members of Grace @ Calvary will lead worship at LIFE Butler County, 231 W Diamond St., with the adult day program participants at 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday. Participants should be at the church by 10:40 a.m.

There will be a Meet and Greet at Grace at 6:30 p.m. Monday for a special visitor from Madagascar, Madame Jean Christiane. The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the church library.

Grace’s Closet, Grace’s free clothing bank, is open to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 20. No proof of income is required. Each family may fill one large bag.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Interim pastor the Rev. William Jackson will preach at the Sunday worship of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The chancel choir will sing. The deacons will host fellowship hour.

The Peace and Global Witness offering will be accepted each Sunday through Oct. 7.

The yarn group for knitters, crocheters and other needlework will meet at noon Sunday in the Hall Lounge.

Senior Night Out resumes at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Donations of fruit and veggie trays, cookies, juice pouches and milk are needed for the 9-week Kids Club program. Use the sign-up sheet near the church library.

INTERSECTION CHURCH

The men’s breakfast of Intersection Church, 120 Walker Ave., will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mac’s Route 8 Cafe, 16 Pittsburgh Road.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., meet at 7 p.m. today in the board room.

Sunday worship hours change back to 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday school will resume at 9:45 a.m. for all ages. There will be a worship/membership meeting in the board room at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

The youths of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will take part in a Sept. 30 scavenger hunt in Pittsburgh with youths from other churches in the Presbytery.

Scott Boyd, the director of PRISM, is the special guest preacher Sunday.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will have a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service followed by a steering committee meeting.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The youths of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will travel to Pittsburgh for the Presbytery’s youth scavenger hunt Sept. 30.

The fall indoor yard sale will be Oct. 12-13. Take gently used items to the church by Oct. 1. For more information, call Anzie Kelley.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., celebrates Communion during the 11 a.m. Sunday service which will also mark the 50th anniversary of the ordination of Pastor Gary Brown. A catered luncheon follows the service. The September Cause of the Month is VOICe, the Victim Outreach Intervention Center.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The worship services at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, return to 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday with Rally Day celebrations. Sunday School for all ages is at 9:30 a.m.
