BUFFALO TWP — AJ Flick won the 25-lap DIRTcar Sprint feature Friday night during the Sprint Spectacular show at Lernerville Speedway.

Sye Lynch finished second and Dan Shetler claimed third.

Chad Hill won the 305 Sprint feature, Garrett Krummert the Modified feature, Chad Ruhlman the RUSH Sprint Car feature, Austin Pasquerelle the Micro Sprint feature.

BUTLER TWP — Makenzie McDowell had 15 digs, but the Butler County Community College volleyball team dropped its season opener to Penn State Dubois, 3-0, over the weekend.

Brooke Snow had five kills and Emilee Beck three for the Pioneers in the 25-19, 25-20, 25-14 loss. BC3 travels to Mercyhurst NE Wednesday.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Shayla Ray had a career-high 16 kills as the Slippery Rock University volleyball team defeated host Charleston, 3-2, Saturday.

SRU (2-2) dropped a 3-0 decision to Urbana earlier in the day.

KUTZTOWN — Freshman Jordyn Kinda scored in overtime — off an assist from Brooke Testa — to give the Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team a 1-0 win Saturday at Kutztown.

The Rock (2-0) travels to Indiana (Pa.) University Wednesday.
