Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., will have a Harvest Moon celebration from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Butler Country Club. Dinner, dancing and a performance by Yanlai Dance Academy are planned. Music will be provided by the TMG Big Band. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. followed by hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. and dinner stations starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $100 if purchased by Sept. 17. Tickets at the door will be $125. Black tie is optional. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, tours are offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and holidays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

PITTSBURGH

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, hosts “Thomas & Friends: Explore the Rails” through Sept. 9 and “The Pigeon Comes to Pittsburgh: A Mo Willems Exhibit” through Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Children under 2 are admitted free. Carnegie Science Center, North Side, hosts the Lego exhibit “The Art of the Brick” through Jan. 7. Because of the popularity of this exhibit, timed entrances will be offered every 15 minutes. Behind the scenes tours of the USS Requin are scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 9. Participants must be 15 or older; cost is $20 and registration in advance is required.
