Friday — A fast-food restaurant employee was charged with taking $100 from a cash register drawer earlier this month.

Police said Laurie R. Crawford, 36, of Butler took the money about 3:10 a.m. Aug. 19 while she worked at McDonald’s at the Butler Crossing shopping plaza.

She is charged with theft.

Friday — A Beaver County man was charged with making a fraudulent return this month at the Walmart at Butler Commons.

The defendant, Robert R. Blume, 33, of Aliquippa, allegedly entered the store empty-handed about 2:35 p.m. Aug. 10, took two items off a shelf and returned them for an in-store gift card valued at $148.87.

Blume is charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Friday — Police charged a Lawrence County woman stemming from a shoplifting incident about 5:45 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.

Nancy R. Sibeto, 62, of New Castle is accused of both scanning one item to pay a lower price and failing to scan another item. She is charged with retail theft.

Monday — Police reported they are investigating the theft of ladders in Worthington. The property was taken Aug. 16 on Foster Road. Police did not say if they have any suspects.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

Sunday — At least one mailbox was stolen from a home in Worth Township, Mercer County. The theft was reported about 10 a.m. on Limber Road.

Police said they have no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.

3:52 p.m. Aug. 8 — An Ohio woman was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted clothing items totaling $500 at the Sports Obsession store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.

The defendant, Allison R. Neal, 41, of Cortland, is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of retail theft.
