A service of installation will be conducted during the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. Newly elected elders will be installed: one to the class of 2019 and five to the class of 2020.
FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN
Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., hosts the AA meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the Weight Watchers at 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. Aug. 23 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 26.
There will be no worship service at Faith United Presbyterian Sunday, as the church has been invited to Hill Presbyterian’s 10:30 a.m. “Worship without Walls” event at the Masonic Shelter at Alameda Park. A picnic will immediately follow.
FIRST BAPTIST
First Baptist Christian School, a ministry of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has a Back-to-School Night at 7 tonight for all parents, students and teachers.
The Sunday schedule will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Sunday school classes and an 11 a.m. worship service followed by a luncheon and 1 p.m. worship service.
The first day of First Baptist Christian School begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The youth group will begin meeting for this fall at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
The first meeting of the fall’s weekly Kids Klub for ages 4 to 4th grade will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., accepts donations for its annual Treasure Hunters’ Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday until Aug. 22.
Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank is open from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
