6:16 p.m. Wednesday — Shandy Rivera, 30, heavily damaged her vehicle but escaped uninjured after striking a guardrail on I-79 in Lancaster Township.
State police report that Rivera was traveling south when she lost control of her vehicle, swerving toward trees and then over-corrected to her left into the rail. It was raining at the time.
10:39 a.m. Aug. 6 — Wayne Nicklas, 71, was transferred to Allegheny General Hospital via a Quality EMS ambulance after he drove his vehicle off Leisie Road in Forward Township.
Nicklas had moderate injuries, police report.
3 a.m. Aug. 3 — An unknown person struck a mailbox on Aggas Road in Center Township and fled the scene. Anyone with information about the incident should contact state police.
12:15 a.m. July 20 — Police report that Kole David Parsons, 23, allegedly strangled Tonia Lynn Parsons, 42, and threw her down a flight of stairs at 3303 Oneida Valley Road in Cherry Valley Borough. Police charged Parsons with simple assault, harassment and strangulation, court documents show.

7:48 p.m. July 9 — Chester Lynn Grossman, 46, is charged with driving under the influence, court documents show.
Police responded to a report of a “combative and intoxicated” man at Butler Pike in Liberty Township. Upon arriving, records show, police found that Grossman had crashed his vehicle shortly before the initial call report came in.
Grossman faces charges of disorderly conduct, careless driving and first-offense driving under the influence.
