7:35 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Aidan Neigh, 20, of Butler struck another vehicle carrying Francis Savannah, 38, of Butler and three passengers, injuring Neigh and one of Savannah’s passengers. The accident occurred at the intersection of State Route 3004 and Crossland Road. Police say Neigh was attempting a left-hand turn onto 3004.
10:15 a.m. July 28 — Police charged George Arthur Ashbaugh, 56, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after finding him with the drug and a pipe in his pocket, according to a police report.
Ashbaugh was arrested at the Super 8 Motel at 138 Pittsburgh Road for an outstanding warrant, police said, and the drugs were found on his person after he was taken into custody.
2:32 p.m. July 14 — After getting into an accident, 57-year-old Saxonburg resident Barry Alan Covalt was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. Covalt’s accident, which occurred on Crisswell Road, resulted in him suffering minor injuries, according to police.

2 p.m. July 29 — Undercover alcohol buyers attempted to get alcoholic drinks without identification at five locations in Butler County and succeeded at just one, police said.
Sgt. Shawn Fischer of the state police said the establishment which failed the check ID wouldn’t be named until the issue had been officially handled through their administrative process.
