Home-grown County Line plays Thursday at farm show

Gary Burk III with County Line will be at the Farm Show Auditorium Pavilion at 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday. It's a home-grown Southern rock and country band with a passion for music. They are, from left to right: Gary Burk III, lead guitar and lead vocals; drummer Tim Morabito,; Ange Giavedoni, bass guitar and vocals; and Bob Mead, rhythm guitar, mandolin, banjo and vocals.

The County Line Band is the Butler Farm Show’s featured musical entertainment with shows starting at 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday in the Auditorium Pavilion. The performances are free for admission ticket holders.

County Line fits the classic definition of cover band, performing a wide variety of rock and country hits while throwing in a mix original compositions.

Lead singer-lead guitarist Gary Burk III, a Chicora native, has been perfecting his craft since age 9, according to the band’s Website, www.CountyLinepgh.com. Burk tells the story about his dad “discovering” his vocal talent as they drove to the family’s camp, young Gary singing along with the pickup truck’s CD player.

Other band members are drummer Tim Morabito, a Knoch High School graduate; Ange Giavedoni, bass guitarist and vocalist, a mainstay of the Punxsutawney music scene; and Bob Mead of Boyers, who plays rhythm guitar, mandolin and banjo and sings.
