Butler Little Theatre’s summer youth production of “Treasure Island” will run July 19 to 22 at the BLT, One Howard St.

Curtain is at 7 p.m. July 19 to 21 and 2 p.m. July 22.

Tickets are $13 online at bltgroup.org or at the door 45 minutes before curtain.

[naviga:h3]Big Butler Fair continues[/naviga:h3]

FRANKLIN TWP — The 163rd Big Butler Fair continues through Saturday at the fairgrounds off Route 422.

Gates open at 9 a.m. The carnival rides open at 3 p.m. weekdays and at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Demolition derbies, concerts, truck pulls, livestock judging and other activities are planned.

Fair admission ranges from $7 to $9, and children 6 and younger are admitted free. Single, all-day ride bands are $15. More information is available at www.bigbutlerfair.com.

[naviga:h3]Scottish fiddling offered[/naviga:h3]

NEW WILMINGTON — Two free Scottish fiddling concerts are planned at Anderson Amphitheater on Westminster College’s campus. They are part of the Strathgheny School of Scottish Fiddling.

The first is the instructors’ concert at 8 p.m. Monday, featuring Melinda Crawford Perttu and David Gardner. Dan Perttu will accompany on piano.

The entire school and instructors will perform at 8 p.m. July 13.

Both concerts are free. Those attending should take their own seating. In case of extreme rain, the events will move to Orr Auditorium.
