BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have missionary Rebecca Moisio as speaker at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship ceremony.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., has a joint worship service with Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Saint Andrews, 201 E. Jefferson St. The Sacrament of Holy Baptism will be celebrated. Leanne Heaton will be the guest soloist.

The following Sunday, July 8, the congregations will meet at Covenant at 10 a.m.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., will celebrate Communion Sunday.

During the week, the AA group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Weight Watchers meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. July 5 and 8:30 a.m. July 7.

FIRST BAPTIST

The Women’s Missionary Fellowship of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., meets from 10 a.m. to noon today at the church.

Quilting will be at 12:30 p.m. today. Take a lunch.

The church will have an 8:30 a.m. prayer service Sunday followed by a 9:15 a.m. breakfast. Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m., and the morning worship service will be at 11 a.m.

First Baptist is involved in three summer camp programs July 2 through July 7 at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Worth Township. The week’s schedule will include family camp, primary day camp, and basketball and soccer day camps. For more information, call the church at 724-287-7241.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

The youths of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will attend the National Youth Gathering in Houston from July 26-Aug. 1.

There will be a “Psalms & Songs” 10 a.m. Sunday service.

Volunteers from Grace @ Calvary will serve the community dinner at First English Church Monday. Volunteers should be there at 4 p.m. to help set up and serve dinner which starts at 5 p.m.

The church office will be closed Wednesday in observance of Independence Day.

The July 5 Ladies’ Night Out is canceled.

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tom Walker and Ruth Ferko will provide the music at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

GraceWay celebrates Independence Day Sunday. The congregation is encouraged to wear red, white and blue.

INTERSECTION CHURCH

Intersection Church, 120 Walker Ave., has completed the first session of Grief Share. It will resume in the fall.

Heath will share his personal story and describe the ministry of You Lead, a youth leadership training camp. He is home-schooled and the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Chris Lewis of Bethany E.C. Church, Knox and Salem United Church of Christ of Lamartine.

Be a part of the core group gathering from Orchard Hill Church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Penn Christian Academy, 199 Airport Road, Penn Township. The mission offering for July goes to McKee Memorial Fund to support the work of PCUSA mission co-workers Jim and Jodi McGill in Niger and South Sudan where they will work in water/sanitation and health. Use the envelope marked “McKee Missions Offering” in the April section of the envelope booklet or use a “First Sunday Mission Offering” envelope from the pew racks.

Vacation Bible school registration forms are due to the church office as soon as possible. Vacation Bible school is from July 16 to July 20. It is free and open to children 3 years old up to fifth grade.
