BlueSox fall to 0-5 during trip
KOKOMO, Ind. — Chandler Coates worked six innings and shut out the Butler BlueSox on four hits Friday night, continuing a nightmarish road trip for the visitors.
Coates struck out four and walked only one batter.
The BlueSox (4-15) managed five hits in an 8-0 loss. They fell to 0-5 on the six-game trip.
The road trip closes with a Saturday night game at Champion City. Those two teams then come to Butler for a 4:05 p.m. game Sunday at Kelly Automotive Park.
No Butler player managed more than one hit in the game.
Brady Walker was the starting and losing pitcher for the BlueSox, allowing four earned runs in 3.1 innings pitched. He struck out five and walked three.
