In conjunction with Father’s Day in 1984, the Butler Mall conducted a “hot legs” contest, with top honors going to Tom Slak of Butler. Making a comparison with the winner are Karen Russo, left, mall promotion director, and Pat Monsour, right, the mistress of ceremonies. Of the 250 entrants, 25 men were selected by random drawing to participate in the finals. Runners-up were Gary Cousins, second; Ron Fetter, third; Bob Frederick, fourth; and Dave Summerville, fifth.
