South Butler teachers to vote on contract
The South Butler County School District's teachers will vote this week on a contract created by a three-person, non-binding arbitration panel that heard both the school board and teachers union arguments before hashing out a potential contract based on the seven main issues causing the 4-year stalemate.
The teachers are hearing a presentation on the arbitrators' contract today and are scheduled to vote on the proposal Wednesday.
The school board voted 7-2 last week to approve the panel's contract.
If the teachers reject it, the two sides will return to negotiations.
