Crash injures one, damages building
BUTLER TWP. — Police in Butler Township are investigating a crash that injured a driver and damaged the Burger King restaurant on Route 8 after they say a vehicle rolled and hit the building Saturday morning.
Joshua Space, 25, of Butler, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt north, when he lost control of the vehicle while going around a left curve near Ann Arbor Lane.
The vehicle slid sideways across the two southbound lanes, hitting a curb, before rolling several times and coming to rest against the Burger King restaurant building, police said.
Police said Space was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury. he was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. The incident occurred at 142 Pittsburgh Road at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, police said.
The restaurant sustained cosmetic damage to the exterior of the building, police said.
