Guilty plea given to theft, trespass
A Pittsburgh man pleaded guilty to theft and trespass Tuesday, after being charged with stealing toner cartridges from a Cranberry Township business on two occasions.
Nathan J. Graf, 33, pleaded guilty to felony criminal trespass, misdemeanor retail theft and identity theft before Judge William Shaffer.
The plea agreement calls for a sentence of probation, restitution of $540.54 and payment of court costs.
He will be sentenced June 27.
Graf was initially charged with two counts each of felony criminal trespassing, misdemeanor retail theft, misdemeanor identity theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of receiving stolen property. The remaining charges will be dismissed as part of the plea.
Cranberry Township police filed the charges after incidents at Costco on June 20 and July 31, where police said Graf used a backpack to steal a total of 14 toner cartridges on those days.
In the July incident he was apprehended by store security.
A search of his person allegedly yielded two hypodermic needles and a Costco membership card belonging to another man, police said.
