Two people were transported to area hospitals Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident on Leslie Road in Middlesex Township.

MIDDLESEX TWP — Two people were transported to area hospitals Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident in Middlesex Township.

According to Butler County dispatch records, the accident was reported at 3:32 p.m. on Leslie Road near the intersection with Browns Hill Road.

A silver sedan and a pickup truck that appeared to be towing a trailer were involved.

Township police at the scene said the two passengers of the sedan were transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, respectively. The driver of the truck was reportedly uninjured, officials said.

No additional information was available at the scene.

The cause of the accident, as well as the conditions of those transported, were not immediately available late Tuesday afternoon.
