BUTLER TWP — The Fester family of Meridian is still seeking donations or benefactors to help them care for 4-year-old Ryan Fester.
Ryan has cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder that affects body movement and muscle coordination. He also suffers from seizures and autonomic dysfunction, a disorder that affects the nervous system, his mother Denise Fester said.
He has an oxygen tank and a feeding tube and needs to be cared for around the clock, Fester said.
The family needs to renovate its ranch-style home to add a wheelchair accessible bathroom and more room to fit a hospital bed and all the equipment.
The Festers also would like to get a larger vehicle that could better accommodate a wheelchair for doctors appointments in Pittsburgh.
