11:44 a.m. Monday — Joshua J. White, 29, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute at his apartment on the 500 block of Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora.
Police spoke to the 24-year-old victim at Butler Memorial Hospital, where she went for medical treatment after the altercation. She told police that White struck her with a folding chair, according to court documents, and punched her in the face.
An officer noted the woman had a “contusion on her left cheek.”
White was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.
Monday — Allison A. Summers, 45, of Butler Township was arraigned on charges that she tried to illegally buy a rifle last fall at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.
Summers allegedly provided false information on a federal form that was required Nov. 17 when she attempted to buy a Marlin .22-caliber rifle.
Summers is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance following arraignment.
