SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Community Farmers' Market will return to the borough's downtown this year.

The market, which has spent the last seven years at Rock Falls Park, will open May 19 in Gateway Park, along Route 108, between Elm and South Main streets.

Seasonal, local produce, plants and homemade goods will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon each Saturday through October.

[naviga:h3]Freeport art show to be held May 16[/naviga:h3]

The annual Freeport School District Art Show will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. May 16 in the high school cafeteria.

The high school band concert will also be held the same evening at 7 p.m.

Admission is free.
