A person in a clown mask attacked a Karns City juvenile in the woods over the weekend.

State police are searching for a person who attacked a Karns City juvenile on Saturday while wearing a clown mask.

Police said the attack happened on a wooded hillside between Hooker Road and Kittanning Pike in Karns City around 7:45 p.m. on April 28.

The victim heard a woman scream, according to police. The attacker, wearing a clown mask and carrying a baseball bat, struck the victim on his right kneecap and fled back into the woods.

The victim was transported to Kittanning Hospital for medical evaluation, police said.

The investigating trooper declined to comment, saying that the investigation is ongoing.
