Concordia acquires facility in Beaver County
Concordia Lutheran Ministries of Pittsburgh has acquired a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Beaver County, the organization announced Thursday in a news release.
Villa St. Joseph is now known as Concordia at Villa St. Joseph and will become part of Concordia’s Continuing Care Retirement Community.
Rachelle Arnold, who has served as administrator at Concordia’s Harmony Physical Rehabilitation campus in Monroeville, has been named administrator of the newly acquired facility.
Villa St. Joseph was established in 1997 by the Sisters of St. Joseph to meet critical health care needs of elderly residents in Beaver County.
Keith Frndak, president and CEO of Concordia, said the facility’s record of excellence was a major factor in Concordia’s decision to purchase Villa St. Joseph.
“It is a faith-based community with a reputation for high quality care and we look forward to serving the people of Beaver County for many years,” Frndak said.
Concordia is a Christian, nonprofit organization headquartered in Cabot, which operates independent living, personal care and assisted living, skilled nursing and hospice facilities at 12 locations in Pennsylvania. It employs more than 2,900 people.
