Martha C. Misson
Martha C. Misson, 93, of Allison Park, formerly of Wexford, McCandless Township and Butler, died Tuesday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary McLaughlin Staub.
Martha graduated from Duquesne University with a B.N. and then went to Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and returned to Duquesne to finish a master's degree in nursing. She had been the director of psychiatric nursing at St. Francis Hospital for 20 years. She later was a hospice volunteer.
A member of St. Alexis Church in Wexford, she had also been an assistant CCD teacher at St. Sebastian Church.
Martha was the stepmother of Barbara Ann Schulte and Frances Louise Misson, both of Allison Park; grandmother of Walter George (Maggie) Schulte and Mary Katherine Schulte (Jason) DiMaggio; and several nieces and nephews.
Martha was the wife of the late George W. Misson, whom she married June 20, 1970, and who died Nov. 10, 1990. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Theodore Staub.

Misson, who died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating.
