Cranberry man lands role in 'Hamlet'
PITTSBURGH — Allan Snyder of Cranberry Township will perform in the Pittsburgh Public Theater’s production of “Hamlet.”
The Shakespeare play will run April 19 to May 20 at the O’Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Ave.
Snyder will be playing the role of Rosencrantz in this show directed by Ted Pappas, his last at PPT.
Snyder has appeared at The Public in “Daddy Long Legs” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.”
Other Pittsburgh area credits include “The 39 Steps” (CLO Cabaret), “Mary Poppins” (Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center), and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (Pittsburgh Musical Theater).
He appeared on Broadway in the final cast of “Les Misérables” (original production), off-Broadway in “The Fantasticks,” and toured the country with “The Phantom of the Opera,” often appearing in the title role.
