BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Community Life Church, 1104 Pittsburgh Pike Road, has an Easter Sunday grand opening service with a gift for new guests and prizes for children.

Orchard Hill Butler County celebrates Communion at a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday at Penn Christian Academy, 199 W. Airport Road, Penn Township.

The Easter Sunday service features live bunnies, free ice cream, an Easter egg hunt and a photo booth.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Members of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., visit Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., for a 7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday community worship service with Communion.

The church hosts the community Good Friday service at noon Friday.

The Easter Sonrise service at Moraine State Park has been canceled due to projected weather. The traditional 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at the church celebrates Jesus’ resurrection and the gift of new life with special brass, choir and handbell music.

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, celebrates Easter Sunday with Holy Communion. There also is a potluck Easter breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Take a favorite breakfast item to share.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, commemorates the Last Supper at 7 tonight with a Communion worship and foot-washing ceremony.

The Good Friday men’s breakfast is at 6 a.m. and the youth breakfast is at 11 a.m. in Centennial Hall. A Good Friday Tenebrae service is at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Easter celebrations include Holy Communion and special music at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday services. There is no 9:30 a.m. service. Sunday school has a reverse Easter egg hunt at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
