Man pleads to burglarizing neighbor

David J. Lewandowski

A West Sunbury man pleaded guilty in Butler County Court on Tuesday to breaking into a neighbor’s mobile home and stealing items in January 2017.

The plea agreement calls for a sentence of 6 months to 1 year in Butler County Prison, probation, fines and restitution.

He is scheduled for sentencing on April 4. Following sentencing Lewandowski will be sent to Allegheny County to address a probation violation, as he was on probation in that county at the time of his arrest for this case.

Lewandowski was also initially charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor theft, theft by deception and receiving stolen property after an incident on Findlay Road, West Sunbury, on Jan. 17, 2017.

A warrant was issued on Feb. 13, and Lewandowski was later arrested.
