Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is hosting a temporary exhibit to help celebrate Chinese New Year. The exhibit, sponsored by the Kai family of Pittsburgh, remains on display through April 23. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, except holidays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Guided tours are available with advanced notice for no extra charge. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, and a Mennonite log house, offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, opens the Spring Flower Show: Scents of Wonder on Saturday. The conservatory is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and until 10 p.m. Fridays. Carnegie Science Center on the North Side, hosts a Space Out! Astronomy Weekend with activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, including hands-on activities, special guests, the latest astronomical news, Planetarium shows, and interactive tables. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents “Amazing Amazon” highlighting the beauty of the world’s rainforests, and the birds and wildlife native to these habitats.
