The Butler-Freeport Community Trail Council is asking those who use the trail or enjoy the outdoors to volunteer at a cleanup project Saturday.

Washout Workday will be from 8 a.m. to noon. Participants should meet at 8 a.m. at the Sheetz in Jefferson Township at the intersection of Bonniebrook and Rennick roads.

Volunteers can take rakes, shovels, pruners, chain saws, gloves and safety glasses, but those without tools are also welcome.

Tree and debris cleanup and repairing ditches will be the focus of Washout Workday.
