A Greensburg woman was paroled in Butler County Court on Thursday, after being charged with breaking into an elderly woman's home in November 2016.

Creanna L. Martin, 25, was immediately paroled after being sentenced to 9 to 23½ months in Butler County Prison by Judge William Shaffer.

Her parole will be followed by 36 months' probation.

She was also ordered to pay court costs and $28.31 restitution, as well as continue to comply with mental health treatment.

Martin previously pleaded guilty to felony criminal trespass, misdemeanor simple assault and resisting arrest on Jan. 19.

She was also initially charged with felony burglary, which was dismissed as part of the plea.

Butler police filed those charges after an incident on Mercer Street in Butler on Nov. 20, 2016.

Police said Martin knocked on the back door of a 78-year-old woman's home, before forcing her way inside

Martin, who was intoxicated, pushed inside, went upstairs and made her way to a rear bedroom. She was Tasered and detained following a brief standoff with police.

She apologized during the proceeding Tuesday, saying she was sorry “to the Butler police for giving them such a hard time.”

Martin was also sentenced to 6 to 12 months in Butler County Prison in January, on charges of felony criminal trespass and misdemeanor retail theft, after being charged with burglarizing a business in May 2016. Martin also was ordered to complete 12 months' probation following the parole and to pay court costs and restitution of $6, in that case.
