The BLT Coffee House Series, a showcase for singer/songwriters with local ties, continues in February with Pittsburgh songwriter/musician/sax player Brad Yoder.
Yoder’s mix of humorous, poetic, political, funky and edgy original songs cover a musical range from folk to indie rock.
He is scheduled to perform at the Butler Little Theatre on Feb. 24.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 at the door.

CRANBERRY TWP — The first Cranberry Artists Network Members Show for 2018 is scheduled for March 12 to April 5 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.
The show, “Drip, Drizzle, and Splash” will feature art expressions of new beginnings and the way weather and environment affect those.
The opening reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. March 22. Refreshments will be served.
The exhibit will continue through April 5.

BUTLER TWP — The Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry will host “Making the Most of Your Piece of Nature” from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 3 in the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.
This free workshop will offer information on sustainably managing land and increasing the environmental benefits it provides. Area experts will talk about birds, wildflowers, and invasive species, among other topics.

The next concert in the Butler County Symphony Orchestra’s 2017-18 season will be “Sci-Fi Spectacular” at 7:30 p.m. March 3 at Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.
The concert will include selections from “Star Trek: Into Darkness,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Aliens,” “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “Back to the Future.”
Music director and conductor is Matthew Kraemer.
