BUFFALO CHARGE

Fenelton United Methodist Church, 810 Clearfield Road, hosts a contemporary service at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11. To provide music, read Scripture or have other participation in the service, call the pastor at 724-297-5875.

St. Vincent De Paul food cupboard items for February are beans and rice. There are opportunities to help at the food cupboard at 8 a.m. the first Monday of each month.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

The annual corporation meeting of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., is after the Sunday worship service in the assembly room.

The “Souper Bowl” luncheon also is in the assembly room Sunday and includes the Souper Bowl of Caring offering. Proceeds benefit community dinners.

EAST BUTLER

East Butler Presbyterian Church, 9th and Randolph streets, hosts an old-fashioned ice cream social featuring the bluegrass group Better Late, at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The church hosts a bluegrass/gospel jam at 7 p.m. Sunday. Area musicians can bring instruments to participate.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Rev. Jim Swanson, retired pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, is the guest speaker Sunday at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext. The annual congregational meeting follows the worship service.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has ladies’ Bible study at 7 tonight at the Dittmer home.

The Shop @ 216 is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 216 W. Jefferson St.

There is an 8:30 a.m. prayer service and 9:15 a.m. breakfast Sunday before Sunday school classes and the worship service.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

The church council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

The church collects food and funds for the Kids Weekend Backpack Program for Butler children in need.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., has ladies’ night out at 5:30 p.m. today at Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive.

The church is collecting food items for this week’s “Souper Bowl Sunday.” The donations are for the Butler Tornado Weekend Backpack Program. For suggested donations, call the church. Deliver donations at the Sunday service.

Church volunteers serve the 5 p.m. Monday community dinner at First English Lutheran Church. They should arrive at 4 p.m.

Butler Relay For Life meets at 6 p.m. Monday at the church.

The youth group offers soup pots in the narthex Sunday for the Souper Bowl of Caring offering. It benefits local efforts to alleviate hunger.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, celebrates Holy Communion during the Sunday worship service.

To celebrate Souper Bowl, there is an offering after worship to support the Evans City Area Food Cupboard. A catered meal and the annual meeting for the congregation is after the service in the basement meeting room.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

For Souper Bowl Sunday, the youths of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, collect nonperishable goods after each service for disaster relief.

The outreach ministry leads the 2 p.m. Sunday worship at Elmcroft Assisted Living, 100 Bella Court, Saxonburg.

The Stars have pizza at noon Wednesday. Take a salad or dessert to share.

A weekly discussion based on “The Story” is at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 8 in the Koinonia Café.

Deposits are due for the June high school mission trip.

TRINITY LUTHERAN
