Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., features Asian art and German Meissen porcelain. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, except holidays. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens age 60 and older, and $3 for youths ages 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

PITTSBURGH

Carnegie Science Center on the North Side, because of construction on the PPG Science Pavilion, will be closed through Jan. 14. But the Rangos Giant Cinema is open through Jan. 12).

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., hosts “A Very Merry Pittsburgh,” an exhibition featuring artifacts from Kaufmann’s/Macy’s department store, Christmas decorations, and historic toys spanning the 1940s to the 2000s, through Jan. 15. The History Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for senior citizens age 62 and older, and $6.50 for students and children ages 6 to 17. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents a live streaming camera trained on a penguins nest at www.PenguinNestCam.org. The Aviary is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and children ages 2 to 12. Some activities cost extra. Children’s Museum, 10 Children’s Way, Allegheny Square, continues “Tough Art” through Jan. 21. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays.
