[naviga:h3]BC3 continues artists’ series[/naviga:h3]

The next show in the Performing Artists Series at Butler County Community College will feature the Tamburitzans.

The longest running multicultural song and dance company in the United States will present “Passages” featuring the folk dances and live music of Eastern Europe at 8 p.m. Jan. 19.

Also at BC3, the Local Artists Mini-Series will begin in the new year with four area musical groups:

Northwest Passage Trumpet Trio, 2 p.m. Feb. 25

Tornado Big Band, 2 p.m. March 11

Robin Hasenpflug, 2 p.m. April 15

Well Strung Bluegrass Band, 2 p.m. May 6.

[naviga:h3]Make snowball to name price[/naviga:h3]

PITTSBURGH — Carnegie Science Center reminds area residents to save a snowball this winter to name their admission price on the first day of summer.

All visitors who make a snowball this winter, save it in their freezer, and take it frozen to the Science Center on June 21 will be able to choose what they pay for general admission that day.

In addition, visitors will be able to launch their snowballs into the Ohio River (weather permitting).

An improv night is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Little Theatre

The evening’s antics will be hosted by Shannon Donovan.

Admission is $5 at the door.
