Any elementary, middle or high school student, whether they attend a brick and mortar school, are cyber schooled or home-schooled, are eligible for the upcoming student exhibits at the Butler Art Center.
The Regional Elementary Art Show will be exhibited from Jan. 31 to Feb. 10.
The Regional Middle and High School Art Show will be from Feb. 21 to March 3.
A small fee is charged for entries.

Butler Little Theatre will host 12-week workshops for children.
During the program, children will learn theater terminology, stage direction, acting and movement skills. The final class will demonstrate what they have learned in a performance for parents and friends.
Classes are scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays from Jan. 8 to March 26 for grades 3, 4, and 5 and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays from Jan. 9 to March 27 for grades 6 to 12.

The Butler County Recital Series will continue Jan. 20 with “French Masterworks.”
The 7 p.m. concert will feature Tanya Satteson, concertmistress of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with pianist Nancy DeSalvo.
They will present works for violin and piano by Ysaye, Saint-Saens and Franck.
The performance will take place at St. Peter’s Reformed Church in Zelienople.

PITTSBURGH — Theatreworks USA will perform “Skippyjon Jones Snow What,” based on the best-selling book by Judy Schachner, at six venues in the surrounding areas, including at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.
