Butler girls top Moon

CORAOPOLIS — Butler's girls basketball team broke out of its funk in a big way Monday night, rolling to a 57-25 victory at Moon.

The game was the last tune-up contest for Butler (2-3), which begins section play Friday night when it hosts North Hills.

Heidi Gross paced Butler with 12 points while Alyssa Eyth added 10. Ava Mancini and Kylee Evans scored six each for Moon.

The Tornado had a 32-18 lead at halftime and limited the Tigers to seven points in the second half.
